Dr Mykhaylo Shepitko
Founder of the Project Sunflowers
Doctor of Law, Professor of Criminal Law Department at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. During his professional career Professor Shepitko has researched the problems of Criminal Law in Judgments and Decisions of European Court of Human Rights. Lately he has been paying special attention to the implementation of Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in Ukraine. His teaching activities are united with researches at the Аcademician Stashis Scientific Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems, where he worked on Criminal Law Doctrine and Improvement of Criminal Legislation in Ukraine. He is a member of the group developing and preparing a new draft of Criminal Code of Ukraine, the activity connected with tight cooperation with European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine. Professor Shepitko is Secretary of Ukrainian National Group of International Association of Penal Law, Counsellor-Secretary of International Criminalists Congress, and Member of Ukrainian Association of Criminal Law.
