
Dr Ewa Hofmańska
Founder; President of the Foundation Sunflowers Executive Board
PhD in law, specialized in labour law; academic with national and international practical experience, including the Trust Fund for Victims of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. She lectured at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bialystok, the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University and the Lazarski University in Warsaw. In 2002 she completed a research fellowship at the University of New South Wales in Sydney (Australia). She is the author of numerous publications on labour law.
Winner of the Ewa Bieńkowska Award 2025 for establishing and developing the Project Sunflowers, i.e. building a system of assistance for victims of war in Ukraine, reliably documenting crimes and human rights violations, and creating a secure mechanism for reporting war crimes. For spreading awareness about the rights of victims of armed conflict. For increasing social sensitivity to injustice. The award was granted by the Fundacja Pomocy Ofiarom Przestępstw. Honoured with the Epiq Woman Award for Justice and Advocacy during the 5th Annual International Law Conference On the Status of Woman, organised by the New York City Bar Association.
